Awake With Birds was released in 2012 and produced by Andrew Beck. The recording process took place while Michael was becoming acquainted with being a new parent after his daughter was born in 2010, many early mornings inspired the name of the album. The songs are an eclectic mix of styles showing a diverse interest in song writing from the catchy pop rock feel of Balance Beam to the dark story telling of a drunken police shooting in Last Drinks Bell. The range is definitely on show in this collection of songs.

Welcome E.P is a digital only release of five songs written about the birth of Michael's daughter Esh Peter, Esh means fire. Becoming a parent inspired some songs about responsibility, the miracles of child birth and the overwhelming love that comes with it. This produced an EP that is extremely personal and universal at the same time.

The 25 Paper Planes EP was Michael's first release as a solo artist in 2007. Produced by Michael Carpenter at Love HZ studios in Sydney. The song Twenty Five was his first single and it made it onto the Home and Hosed program on Triple J. Having already been through the record label process a couple of times and multiple incarnations of bands even at twenty five years old Michael was reflective in this group of songs that examine his own place in life, the music he loves, how it makes him feel as well as the highs and the lows inspired from different real life interactions.
